sucked at sports as a kid, so I just wrecked people at chess and became champion for city's region at 10. I then stopped playing till 2 years ago. Realistically it was already way too late by 10 that point to go far in that field.

I never was good at chess but I always loved it. I remember discovering the game when I was a kid. It was a good feeling. I still have the chessboard my godfather bought me, although I don’t play. I lost one pawn but carved a replacement to keep the set intact.

I'm not particularly gifted at it, but I do remember my love for it when I first discovered the game at 9ish I believe. Keep in mind, computers weren't readily available to the population so I actually would try and study some games from books (looking back I didn't understand jack since I was a kid with no tutor to explain to me the ideas behind it.) Still managed to reach the semi-finals at the school play-off in my first year. 2nd year I beat the previous year's winner and became city champ for west Toronto. I got owned in the city finals. I'm not quite sure why I gave up playing to be honest, I do recall my biggest scope at the time was to get revenge on the guy who in the 4th grade (he pretty much never lost a game, and rarely drew with the other kids). After that was accomplished I lost focus and motivation.

I was actually really good at basketball when I was younger and used to practice by myself but then my parents started forcing me to go bullshit religious schools to read a fucking book I never understood the meaning of. Ages 6-12 literally fucking wasted going to a normal school then going to Islamic school after sitting next to a bunch of smelly Langley pakis and indians who probably grew up to be just as much of incels as me or necked themselves

I would consider sports a hobby for most. Few have the potential to go pro in their respective endeavors. No matter how talented you were, height would have been a huge impediment for you (no hate but there are very few basketball players in the history of the sport in your height range). Now if you had your talent combined with my height you could have made a decent point guard or shooting guard but then my arms are pretty short for my height so you would have needed the ape-like limbs most negros possess.

Honestly even getting into the middle school and highschool basketball team would've been enough

most important thing you get out of sports as a kid is the comradery you have with your teammates

I played on some very good sports teams as a kid (hockey and baseball) and honestly the best part of it was before / after the games or at practice when your just hanging out with all your bros

The practices (in some teams depending on your coach) is mentally challenging as well which you can use to improve other aspects of your life too. But yes I agree the friends you make in sports teams can be really tight and it feels like a brotherhood eventually

Always was pissed at my parents for this. They were too lazy to sign me up as a kid. By the time middle school rolls around everyone was much more stronger and coordinated. Wasn't until I started lifting that my strength caught up. Coordination never did. My kids are at least playing baseball.
    Keeping it real.
