    Hammer curls and normal curls

    Is it typical to be able to hammer curl more than a traditional curl? Srs?

    It’s normal. I’m not an expert but my understanding is that it engages the brachioradialis which explains why you can lift more.

    Anybody can confirm?

    I like this thinking. Never thought about "why" but this makes sense.

    this + the moment arm is typically shorter (i.e. less torque)
