and even northsea europe became somewhat totalitarian with social democracy (socialism lite), the whole west just turned into a bunch of cowards from the moment we lost our religion. germans in general are boring, I was at a German festival Rock am Ring, I was trying to work up the crowd before the Taking Back Sunday concert started, didn't work with these boring ass germans they just looked at me strange, i walked 10m to the side and met a group of Anglo's, I got them to sing songs with me right away. I also always get banned on German counter strike servers for trolling, doesn't happen on British counter strike server. the germans in general are just kinda dull and strict compared to the north sea European

I don't know much about subjects like this, but I find it to be very interesting. I think I might check out that Apricity forum you mentioned before. Its interesting how different groups of people are more apt to have certain personality traits etc

Are Germans known to have different views on slavery? I thought I read before that some German immigrants were against slavery. Not sure if it was most of them or maybe just a certain group or area. I always thought that was interesting. I wonder if @Hector knows anything about this

In the US most of the German immigrants settled west of Pennsylvania (midwest, great lakes, dakotas) and stuck to their own communities. Farming grain, ranching, and tooling/materials industries. Totally different culture than the deep south and by the time they were immigrating in any significant numbers the anglo plantation infrastructure was well established and wasn't welcoming to them. They were so far removed from slavery it wasn't really an issue for them, just something they might read about in a publication now and then.

Afaik European Germans had minimal participation in slave trading and was limited to a few individuals who financed Dutch and Portuguese ventures or took advantage of shipping lanes used by slave ships on their return routes to transport European goods to West Africa.
